Thelma (2024) (12a)

Josh Margolin

Inspired by a real-life experience of director Josh Margolin's own grandmother, THELMA puts a clever spin on movies like MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, shining the spotlight on an elderly grandmother as an unlikely action hero. When 93-year-old Thelma Post gets duped by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, she sets out on a treacherous quest across the city to reclaim what was taken from her.

Starring June Squibb, Fred Hechinger, Parker Posey

Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

Lovely quirky film - good script and some very funny moments.

Lovely film for our older audience. Funny and poignant. Although American dialogue is always problematic with our sound system

This clever comedy went down well with many of audience but some found the portrayal of older age challenging.
