Then we’ll begin… Comedian, broadcast historian and British Comedy Award-winning writer (Miranda, Not Going Out) Paul Kerensa presents this one-man ‘stand-up history’ show that informs, educates but above all entertains about the BBC’s origins. Relive the 1920s with tales, clips and landmark re-enactments: the first BBC broadcast, the first children’s, drama, music and more. Hear of forgotten pioneers, from WW1 DJ Gertrude Donisthorpe to the first BBC children’s character: Susan the blue cat with yellow spots.
