Perfect Days (PG)

Directors Wim Wenders. Japanese Drama

Hirayama seems utterly content with his simple life as a cleaner of toilets in Tokyo. Outside of his very structured everyday routine he enjoys his passion for music and for books. And he loves trees and takes photos of them. A series of unexpected encounters gradually reveal more of his past. A deeply moving and poetic reflection (with very little dialogue) on finding beauty in the everyday world around us.

Starring Kôji Yakusho, Yumi Asô, Tokio Emoto

Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

I can imagine people will find this film very boring or completely fascinating. Luckily the vast majority of our audience fell in the latter camp.

People loved this Japanese film about the daily routine of a Tokyo toilet cleaner, unlike though that sounds. And were wowed by the design of the toilets! "Brilliant detail - photography." "Really enjoyed this very gentle film. What a brilliant actor!"

Change of pace, simplicity - moving- meditative and beautiful.
