Allelujah (12a)

Brilliant performances from the stars, particularly Jennifer Saunders. Even the minor roles were 'played to perfection.

Good film, a little slow to start and didn't seem to be addressing very much the advertised theme of the probable closure of the hospital and any strong fight against it. Touching on the difficult subject of advancing old age and dementia in hospital patients, there was a somewhat unexpected twist at the end.

A good film but not very jolly!

Some of our audience with elderly family felt the film was a bit close to home. Others commented, "So, this is what I have to look forward to!" However, all very much enjoyed the the film and the ending.

A "mature" audience found the content amusing and food for thought

The film had a round of applause at the end- Its less of a comedy than many people expected but very relevant to our rural community. please see comments from evening screening as well.

The acting of the main characters was superb, and the mix of humour and pathos was done very well. The twist at the end I think took everyone by surprise.
