2040 (PG)

Director Damon Gameau. Australian Documentary

Award-winning director Damon Gameau embarks on journey to explore what the future would look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted these solutions into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary footage with dramatized sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board for his daughter and the planet. It is an upbeat, can-do approach, with a mission to convince people that they can make a difference to climate change, and follows Gameau's highly successful 2015 directorial debut THAT SUGAR FILM.

Starring Damon Gameau, Eva Lazzaro, Zoƫ Gameau

Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

An excellent film offering real hope that there are groundbreaking initiatives out there to help climate change if the world would listen.

A film everyone should see, inspiring and well put together.

It was well received by our audience who were a mix of committed environmentalists and sceptics. It left us all with much to think about.
