Anyone who followed the series will know it is always a good watch with Maggie Smith's humour.

A fantastic movie well worth seeing, not just for Downton Abbey Fans!

Very enjoyable, even for those in the audience who had not watched any Downton episodes previously. The gay scenes took us by surprise but didn't detract from the film in any way. A couple of hours of gentle escapism.

Film just needed to be longer !!

You really need to have watched the TV Series to understand all the characters, but if you have done it was just what you'd expect from a 2-hour show. The slight caveat is that storylines that would have developed over several episodes had to be squeezed into a single film. Overall, just go with it and enjoy the fine acting and fabulous settings.
